Director General Müller tells GreenTech Festival, "We are ready for a zero-carbon economy."

BERLIN, 23 June 2022 - At the GreenTech Festival, UNIDO’s Director General, Gerd Müller, told participants, “A world without hunger is possible. Stopping climate change is possible. A zero-carbon economy is possible.”
Speaking on a panel discussion titled, “Are we really ready for a zero-carbon economy”, Müller said UNIDO is coordinating investments, new technologies and digitalization, and has many projects and initiatives to build a functioning zero-carbon economy.
He called on “young, tech-savvy people, multipliers and influencers” to cooperate with UNIDO.
Other speakers on the panel were Gabriela Bucher, head of OXFAM International; Jenny Bofinger-Schuster, head of sustainability at Siemens; and Adam Elman, head of Sustainability for Google Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Later, Müller visited the GreenTech Festival exhibition and stopped to check out the stands of Google, E.ON, SAP, and the Government of Italy.
