Green industrial recovery vision for Ukraine
The Government of Ukraine and UNIDO jointly developed and launched the green industrial recovery programme 2024-2028. UNIDO envisions a resilient, green and sustainable industry in Ukraine and promotes a strategic and integrated approach, focusing on creating opportunities for people, supporting businesses and attracting investment, as well as fostering a green economy.
Our work
UNIDO’s work in response to the war in Ukraine is part of the Organization’s long-standing commitment to the country’s sustainable industrial development, economic growth, social well-being and environmental sustainability.
For many years, UNIDO has been contributing towards improving and greening the productive capacities of Ukraine through industrial policymaking, technical cooperation, capacity-building, peer learning, knowledge transfer and private sector engagement, among others.
See moreBusiness partnerships
As one of the strategic priorities of the green industrial recovery programme for Ukraine, UNIDO is working with the country's businesses to foster impact-oriented public-private partnerships to drive reconstruction and sustainable industrial development efforts. By combining the unique innovative capacities of the private sector with the business support role of the public sector, as well as the technology and expertise of development partners, UNIDO will improve quality and productivity along value chains, create new market opportunities for products and services, as well as develop an enabling environment needed for industries to recover from the adverse effects of the war.
