What's in it for you?
The eLearning course on ISO Good Standardization Practices (GSP) will provide you with knowledge about the best way of developing, publishing, and disseminating information about national standards. It highlights the best practices and processes for NSBs to develop and publish national standards in an effective and efficient manner, thereby helping to support international trade and technological cooperation.
Who should take this course?
This eLearning course is primarily aimed at staff of National Standards Bodies – especially those in developing countries, and members of national technical committees. However, if you work in a Standards Development Organization (SDO) or you are a member of the Board of Directors or Standardization Council of an NSB, then many parts of this course can be useful to you too. Depending on your role, there are two paths you can take through this course.
Which topics are covered?
This eLearning is made up of ten modules, some of which are further split into sub-modules. In total, there are 38 modules and sub-modules which will take you about 17 hours to complete. Below is a visual map of your learning journey.
The course uses many learning scenarios and a realistic case study to illustrate connections between theory and best practices to help you to reflect on the application of best practices in different contexts and develop your critical thinking skills. In addition, there are also several discussion forums to facilitate peer-to-peer collaborative learning and stimulate discussion among all those taking this course and we encourage you to participate actively in these forums.
What is the course duration?
a) 17 hours if you are an NSB staff or a member of a national technical committee as you need to go through the entire course.
b) 13 hours if you are a member of a Board of Directors or Standardization Council of an NSB as you can go through only those parts relevant to your role.
What are the start and end dates of the course?

The registration for the third cycle has opened on 3 June and will close on the 21 June. The participants will be enrolled in this course from the 24th of June until the 30th of November
