The Digital Future is NOW! As world leaders come together for the Summit of the Future to accelerate efforts to meet existing international commitments and take concrete steps to respond to emerging challenges and opportunities, they will adopt the Pact for the Future, which will include a Global Digital Compact and a Declaration on Future Generations.
Multi-stakeholder action is required to overcome digital, data, and innovation divides and to better leverage science, technology, and innovation for sustainable development. As part of the pre-Summit Action Days, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Permanent Mission of Ethiopia, Google Cloud, the International Coffee Organization (ICO), the United Nations Computing Centre (UNICC), and AIESEC are jointly organizing a side event to showcase concrete innovative solutions for digital cooperation and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Join us on September 21st for Solutions Day as we gather Member States, development partners, industry leaders, innovators, and youth for an inspiring evening at Google's Manhattan office in New York. On this occasion, we will launch the UNIDO Solutions platform, a digital space designed to foster multi-stakeholder partnerships, highlight scalable solutions, and present a new way of resource mobilization.
As one of the digital solutions featured on the platform, Google will present their artificial intelligence (AI) tool for geospatial data in collaboration with Lavazza, Illy, and Member States, demonstrating how technology can accelerate the future of deforestation-free coffee supply chains. The evening will further continue with SDG solution corners, featuring active discussions on how we can leverage more digital technologies for global collaboration and sustainable development. The event will conclude with networking opportunities, accompanied by beverages, finger food, and music.
