The Vienna Food Safety Forum 2025 (VFSF) is a global forum supporting the transformation of agri-food systems through innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. Taking place from June 10–12, 2025, this event will bring together practitioners, policymakers, industry leaders, and experts to discuss data-driven solutions that facilitate trade and improve public health for a more food-secure future. 

After the success of the VFSF 2022, the Forum in 2025 aims to explore the most recent developments in regulatory frameworks with special attention to data-driven innovation. It will provide an update on the most recent digital and data solutions  that are improving food safety outcomes through enhanced collaboration and decision-making among regulators and industry. Key topics will include, digital traceability, use of artificial intelligence, electronic certification and remote audit. 

The Forum is organized by UNIDO with the Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF) and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) of Australia. 

 

Event information and venue

The Vienna Food Safety Forum will take place from June 10–12, 2025, at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) headquarters in Vienna, Austria, specifically in Board Room D of the Vienna International Centre (VIC), C-Building. The Forum will be structured around plenary sessions and networking breaks to enhance face-to-face interactions among participants. For those unable to attend in person, virtual access will also be available.

 

Registration

Registration is open until 30 April. Registrations will be approved by the Organization Committee.

  • Emerging technologies: Leveraging AI, machine learning and technologies for improved decision-making and delivery. 
  • Public-Private Partnerships: New approaches for collaboration to strengthen safe trade results

  • Gain insights into best regulatory practices and tools in food safety. 
  • Network with global food safety leaders.
