Community of Practice on Investment Funds

This community is comprised of stakeholders at the global level, including institutional investors, pension funds, asset owners and asset managers, insurance companies, private equity and venture capital, blended finance stakeholders, impact investors and other financial innovators and sector experts.

The main purpose is to provide education, research and resources to build awareness and capacity in the private sector towards the mission of catalyzing investment in resilience. The aim is to grow the stakeholder network in the adaptation and resilience investing space by sharing learnings and generating knowledge on the use of investment funds for climate adaptation and resilience.

By exploring opportunities and barriers to investment in climate resilience, this community of practice shares learnings on opportunity discovery, frameworks for investment, blended finance, valuing resilience, impact measurement and identifying investments by sector.

Engagement and learning take place through a series of virtual and in-person convenings, webinars, blog posts, and other online communications culminating in the publication and dissemination of a white paper summarizing insights and stakeholder recommendations.
