Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals requires working together. UNIDO works in partnership with many sister organizations in the UN system, for example, with the Food and Agriculture Organization on agribusiness development, and with the United Nations Environment Programme  in the Partnership for Action on Green Economy. UNIDO also cooperates with the private and public sectors, and promotes investment to accelerate progress. Ten Investment and Technology Promotion Offices contribute to the reduction of development imbalances by brokering investment and technology agreements between developed and developing countries. UNIDO also boasts a rich legacy of fostering South-South and Triangular Industrial Cooperation among its member states.
